Founded in 1997, Crystal Minds is a mental wellness centre which boasts of a multidisciplinary team offering a wide range of psychiatric and psychological services for all age groups and has a specialised Child and Adolescent unit. Various workshops are also conducted on the clinic premises covering wide-ranging and relevant topics such as parenting, sexual abuse prevention, women’s groups as well as workshops for mental health professionals.

It was done in collaboration with Sex Therapists Ms. Rima Hawkins and Dr. David Hawkins from London, along with Dr. Rima Mukherji, Founder Director of Crystal Minds . Other speakers included Dr. Jhuma Basak, Psychoanalyst , Dr. Anuttama Banerjee, Psychologist, both from Crystal Minds, Mr. Pawan Dhall an LGBT activist and Dr. Rahul Sen, Gynaecologist. Mr. Tirtha Gupta, QC, Barrister from London was the moderator of the panel discussion. The workshop dealt with intimacy issues and modern day relationship problems. Intimacy and sex are taboo topics in the Indian society. Suffering silently has always been the norm and it was felt that the time had come to address this. It was a platform where such issues were openly discussed, to bring about better awareness and greater understanding. It was attended mainly by mental health professionals.
