Psychiatric disorders are prevalent in all age groups. Psychiatrists determine whether the symptoms are due to physical illness, a combination of physical and mental ailments or strictly psychiatric ailments. They usually treat patients with medication, or a combination of medication and psychotherapy or talk therapy.
